Why I Process Your Personal Data
This website is intended solely for contact purposes. I process your personal data in order to handle your enquiry or request, reply to you and, where appropriate, take steps towards entering into an agreement for the provision of legal services. If we begin working together, I will also process your data for the purpose of providing legal services and complying with obligations connected with the practice of law.
What Personal Data I Process
I process the data you provide in the contact form or by e-mail, typically your name, e-mail address, telephone number and the content of your message, including any related follow-up communication. I also process only the technical data necessary for the secure operation of the website, such as your IP address in server logs.
Legal Basis for Processing
- Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract and/or performance of a contract;
- where applicable, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest in handling your enquiry and maintaining communication;
- in client matters, also Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations.
Recipients of Personal Data
- the data controller;
- necessary IT service providers (in particular hosting and e-mail providers) acting as processors, always only to the extent necessary for the delivery and handling of your message;
- cooperating specialists, such as translators, accountants or tax advisers, where this is useful for the specific matter;
- cooperating attorneys, where required by the nature of the matter and in accordance with the applicable professional rules.
I do not use personal data for marketing purposes and I do not disclose it for advertising purposes. Personal data may also be disclosed to public authorities, courts or law enforcement authorities where required by law and where this is not contrary to my duty of confidentiality.
Cookies
This website uses only essential technical cookies necessary for its operation and security. No analytics or advertising cookies are used.
Data Retention
If your enquiry does not lead to cooperation, I will generally retain the communication for no longer than 6 months after the enquiry has been handled, unless there is a reason for longer retention, for example for the protection of legal claims. If the enquiry becomes a client matter, personal data will be retained for the duration of the contractual relationship and thereafter for the period required by law and professional regulations, or for as long as necessary to protect legal claims.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your personal data, request rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, subject to the conditions set out in the GDPR, and to object where processing is based on legitimate interest. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
